🚁 Drone-Based Thermal PV Inspections
This is ASMASOL’s flagship differentiator. Using high-resolution RGB and thermal imaging cameras mounted on drones with automated flight paths, we identify faults that traditional ground inspections miss entirely — faster and more comprehensively than any alternative method.
What we detect: Hotspots and hotcells, string and module failures, soiling and shading patterns, microcrack detection, bypass diode failures, delamination, PID effects, and bird contamination. All findings are geotagged and delivered in comprehensive IEC 62446-compliant reports.

Ongoing asset performance monitoring, fault diagnostics, maintenance planning, SCADA/monitoring oversight and yield optimisation for operational solar plants.
Landmark Reference: Zimplats Phase 1A (35MWac) — commissioned July 2024, opened by the President of Zimbabwe in July 2025. ASMASOL Consult provided Owner’s Engineer and ongoing O&M advisory services for this landmark national project.
